Maxime Rivard is a visual artist and an electrical engineer with a Master’s degree in mathematical modeling. His work aims at representing mathematical concepts and their use as transparently as possible: the appearance of every pixel he generates can be explained in a rigorous way. While some of his pieces highlight the inherent beauty of mathematics and algorithms, others showcase the limitations of modern technology and the consequences of employing it beyond its capabilities.
